About

My name is Josh and I love Jesus!  I learned this simple, yet fantastic way of introducing myself from my brothers and sisters in Christ in Africa.  My wife Jen and I went on a trip/journey called The World Race which is an 11 month mission trip to 11 countries.  We left in September of 2012 and returned in July 2013.  Although the physical journey may be over, the Spiritual journey has really just begun as we seek to continue to bring God’s Kingdom to this messed up world.  We don’t always know what that will look like, but we are willing to follow wherever God opens doors for us.

As I said, I love Jesus, so I am trying to learn as much about Him as I can and then apply that knowledge to the way I live my life, because I believe that He is life and He is MY life.  Many of my blogs will be about questions that I have in seeking truth and some answers that I have found along the way.  They will probably include wrestlings that I have with Scripture passages or great truths that I have discovered or rediscovered.  In it all, I hope to glorify God and to help bring others closer to Him, for as a disciple of Christ, that is my calling.  I hope to do these things humbly, trying my best to abide by what I have deemed my life verse as of late:

2 Timothy 2:23-26- “Have nothing to do with foolish, ignorant controversies; you know that they breed quarrels.  And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil, correcting his opponents with gentleness.  God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth, and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, after being captured by him to do his will.”

Grace, love and peace to all!
